Gift Knitting: Made from Cool...Like Walken.

Here's a little knitting inspiration for all of you who are working on holiday gifts for others...

As of tonight, I will be done done done with all of my overdue knit gifts. And then I am officially taking a hiatus from knitting for others.  I haven't knit anything for myself since April.

Photos of knitty gifts to follow. Selfish knitting awaits...

Now go knit like the wind all you gifty knitters!

  1. Dang. Knitting like a Boss.

Also - hooray for selfish knitting. Wish I could say the same for my sewing. I have got so many skating orders coming in right now, and I still have gift sewing to do, I am so in the weeds. And yet all I want to do is sew myself a McCall's peplum cardigan...

  2. I always liked Christopher Walken; now I like him even more. My sewing machine has been in the shop since Tuesday, but finally comes home tomorrow. At last! But no selfish sewing until I finish my two gifts.

  3. Right?? LOL

Well at least you get your machine home - I hate it when I can't sew.

  4. That McCall's peplum cardi is pretty awesome, I think. And it sounds like you're about to go on a mega coat bender!

  6. Is there anything that man can't do?

  7. Yes, do some selfish knitting before you can't! I knitted like a storm for years, but I have very little to show (myself) for it. Now I can't knit much. So knit a masterpiece for yourself before that happens!

  8. You know, I keep thinking that I need to buy a new scarf, which is ridiculous since I can just knit myself one! And my knit socks get worn all the time. So, yes. Knitting for me is in.
